Irish Architectural and Decorative Studies
A unique, peer-reviewed periodical focussed on Irish architecture and the decorative arts.
The Bulletin was the precursor to The Journal. Published from 1958 to 1998, it’s early issues included progress reports on the preservation work undertaken by the society and the annual calendar of activities. It documents the development of The Irish Georgian Society from it’s earliest days, across four decades. Each issue of The IGS Bulletin is available now, for the first time, in digital form.
The IGS Journal reflects the Society’s wide remit and is concerned not just with Georgian architecture, but the entire spectrum of Ireland’s post-medieval architecture, landscape, material culture, and the decorative and visual arts.
